Shipping and Returns

Shipping: We can ship to virtually any address in the USA and Canada. Note that there are restrictions on some products. When you place an order, a flat rate shipping fee will be applied to your order.  Delivery date is based on the availability of items purchased and the shipping options you choose.  Depending on the shipping provider chosen, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.  Please note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Sales Tax:  California Residents will be charged CA Sales Tax. 

International Customers: Items shipped outside of the USA may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.  We set the item's declared value and must comply with customs declaration laws.

 As the buyer, be aware of possible:

delays from customs inspection.

import duties and taxes (VAT) which buyers must pay. 

brokerage fees payable at the point of delivery.

Refund Policy and Returns Policy

Sales on products are subject to a 20% return fee. To be completely frank, we don’t like charging for returns. But we also don’t think that it’s ethical to sell an amplifier that someone had on trial for the same price as one that’s brand new. We use this return fee to cover the cost of making the amp ready for resale and for the discount we give on it when we sell it as a “demo.”

Note: If your purchase was eligible for free shipping, the shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. The return fee of 20% (if applicable) is charged separately.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).    

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

For Sound City products manufactured before 2015, you may send an email to for a referral to service centers that may be able to assist you. 

When writing to us, please include:

  • Your full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Shipping address (the address to which we will return your repaired unit).
  • Model
  • Serial number
  • Date of purchase
  • Place of purchase
  • Detailed description of issues/malfunctions/etc.

Once you have received your RMA number, please pack the unit securely (preferably in the original factory carton plus an outer box) and write the RMA number clearly on the outer box. Include a letter with the following information in the package:

  • RMA number
  • Return address (Post Office Boxes are not acceptable)
  • Contact name
  • Daytime phone
  • Email address
  • Serial number
  • Detailed description of issues/malfunctions/etc.
  • Copy of sales receipt (only if product was purchased new)
  • Special instructions, i.e. Use different return address, Express return delivery, Call with estimate, etc.
  • List of enclosed items

PLEASE INSURE FOR FULL REPLACEMENT COST IN CASE PRODUCT IS DAMAGED OR LOST IN TRANSIT. cannot be held liable for shipping damage due to inadequate packing. will only file a shipping damage claim for speakers arriving in the original factory carton and packing material plus outer box or packed according to the shipper's recommended packing guidelines. 

Due to packaging guidelines imposed by various shippers, cannot file a damage claim on an inadequately packed product that arrives damaged. If you are not sure, please have it packed a local shipping outlet. 

Product returned to must be shipped prepaid. We will not accept COD shipments. In the event that the repair is a bona fide warranty repair, may at its sole discretion elect to return the repaired item free of charge via UPS or USPS Ground freight prepaid. Cost for express or overnight service is the responsibility of the purchaser. This includes warranty service.
